Synopsis
ELDORADO is inspired by a true story. In 1973, the oil crisis signaled the end of the Trente Glorieuses, the end of abundance. If France was to stay in the race, it would have to refuel, and fast.
Fortunately, in our country, we don't have oil, but we do have ideas.
In 6×45 minutes, from 1976 to 1984, from Peru to Gabon and from Paris to Brussels, ELDORADO is an oil adventure, a modern epic set against a backdrop of the race for fossil fuels, politics and the dream of heights. It depicts yesterday to tell us about today: our dependence on hydrocarbons, our climate challenges, the same impasses, the same faith in the miracle solution that will save us.
