Synopsis
Amidst the French Intelligence Agency (the DGSE), a special department called Le Bureau des légendes trains and remotely handles deep-cover agents. Operating in foreign countries, their mission is to recruit possible intelligence sources. Remaining undercover, under “legend” – with false identities, they spend years of ongoing pretense.
Guillaume Debailly, aka Paul Lefebvre, aka Malotru, comes back from a six-year undercover assignment in Syria. But he breaks security rules and doesn’t give up his legend, the identity which he lived under while in Damascus. His love story with a Syrian woman, Nadia El Mansour, is going to make it worse, as he plays both sides for the DGSE and the CIA. For love, he is willing to risk it all… not only for himself, but the entire BUREAU.

A classified mission imagined alongside with The Bureau, and designed in partnership with the major operators of French intelligence, Spies offers an immersive, educational and playful experience.
Benefitting from an exclusive partnership with the successful TV series, this interactive exhibition recreates its most iconic set designs and gives the visitor an opportunity to play an active part in the mission. Starting point: a diplomatic crisis has just broken out with the Western Republic (a fictitious state). The State is counting on you to give it your best as you step into the role of a secret agent.
Deep game: The Bureau
In a secret location over 300 sqm in the heart of Paris, the Deep Game is a two-hour immersive adventure for 3-6 players. It combines the unique world of The Bureau with the best of escape games, immersive theater and action games.

The Bureau, first French scripted drama to have accessed DGSE archives, reveals a cold universe, far removed from the regular fantasies usually associated with the spy world. For the release of Season 5, Spy, life under legend offers a unique viewpoint over State undercover activities, pulling interviews from the cast and crew, as well as intelligence experts.
Immerse yourself in the undercover psyche and explore a secretive world with these five episodes. You will learn about the origins of the show, its recurring themes, and the various shapes that contemporary undercover work can take.
Episode 1 : Becoming undercover
How DGSE operatives are recruited and trained? What motivates this uncommon lifestyle? This introductory episode simultaneously revisits the main stakes of being undercover: the role of the service within and differences between secret and undercover operations.
Episode 2: Field work
What does undercover life actually look like on the field? A second episode that offers an exploration of an extremely risky lifestyle, distinguished by secrets, lies and deceptions.ntrée dans la clandestinité
Episode 3: Agency life
How does the DGSE handle operatives on the field? This third episode focuses on Agency life as a bridge and point of contact for the men and woman on the field. Take a tour of the headquarters located in Paris on Boulevard Mortier, often referred to as “the swimming pool” or “the box”, and learn about the technicalities of intelligence work.
Episode 4: Back to life
How undercover operatives adapt back to life? This fourth episode explore the conditions of coming back home, and to a greater extent, the psychological impact of living a life of secrets and lies.
Episode 5: The secret war
What is the role of intelligence services in international rivalries? Does the cyberworld allow for an extension of disguised undercover work? This last episode gives an overview of “Game Intelligence”, agency and intelligence service practices, friends and foes, as well as a general survey of contemporary cyber stakes.
